MYS Superyacht Crew is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join an exceptionally well-run 40m Italian-built private/charter motor yacht.

Position Snapshot

The Role

This is a hands-on engineering position aboard a well-maintained, professionally operated vessel with a strong charter focus.

The yacht will be undertaking yard period work on the Gold Coast for the remainder of the year before returning to operations in 2027

The successful candidate will:

Take responsibility for all aspects of the vessel’s engineering operations.
Be hands-on with maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting.
Plan ahead and proactively manage engineering spares, particularly in preparation for charter operations.
Maintain high engineering standards and ensure operational reliability.

The Ideal Candidate

Holds Y3, Y4 or an equivalent engineering qualification.
Has previous superyacht engineering experience (essential).
Is practical, proactive and forward-thinking.
Is confident managing engineering requirements independently.
Ideally Australian or New Zealand based, or an international candidate able to rotate locally.

An excellent opportunity to secure a genuine 10/10 rotation on a quality vessel with a Gold Coast home port.
