The Role

 

A family-oriented 36m private motor yacht is looking for an experienced yacht chef to join a fun and friendly crew for a 3-month summer contract cruising the East Coast of Australia.

 

The yacht operates with a crew of 6 and has a relaxed Australian owner who will be onboard intermittently throughout the season, accompanied by family and guests.

 

This is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys a laid-back private yacht environment and is comfortable catering to a family-style operation with changing guest numbers.

 

Culinary Profile

 

The ideal candidate will have a broad and adaptable culinary skill set, with the confidence to prepare a variety of cuisines and menus.

 

That said, there is plenty of scope to cook to your strengths and bring your own style and creativity to the galley.

 

We are looking for someone who is:

 

Experienced in a private yacht environment

Confident cooking for owners, family and guests

Flexible and adaptable with changing numbers and requirements

Organised, self-sufficient and comfortable working independently

Able to maintain a relaxed and positive approach onboard

Previous yacht chef experience is essential.

 

The position could suit an Australian or New Zealand yacht chef who is looking for a spring/summer contract before returning for the Mediterranean season
