Are you a talented chef looking to combine your culinary skills with an adventurous Australian cruising program?

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Sole Chef to join a highly regarded 110’ private expedition yacht cruising some of Australia’s most remote and spectacular destinations, including the Kimberley region.

This vessel is known for its outstanding onboard culture, with friendly and accommodating owners alongside a professional, fun, and adventurous crew dynamic.

Position Overview

  • AUD $140,000 – $156,000 per year + Superannuation
  • 4 weeks paid annual leave
  • Private yacht with low guest numbers
  • Full-time or Seasonal position
  • Start Date: ASAP

The yacht operates with a permanent crew of six, and the successful candidate will be responsible for catering for both guests and crew onboard.

The owners regularly fly in and out throughout the season, allowing for good downtime between trips for rest, reprovisioning, and preparation.

Cruising Program – Next 12 Months

  • May – Cairns
  • June to August – Kimberley / Darwin
  • September – Gulf of Queensland
  • October & November – Cairns / Great Barrier Reef
  • December – Sydney
  • January to March – Shipyard period in Queensland

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a chef who is:

  • Professionally trained with strong culinary experience
  • Positive, energetic, and a team-focused individual
  • Passionate about fresh, healthy, high-quality cuisine
  • Organised and confident provisioning for remote cruising
  • Capable of maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-managed galley
  • Comfortable creating diverse menus tailored to owner preferences

The owner particularly enjoys seafood-focused cuisine. One family member has allergies to sesame products and most nuts, so the chef must be confident operating an allergen-aware galley when required.

This role would suit a fit, adaptable chef who enjoys adventure, remote travel, and working within a close-knit professional team.
