As the housekeeper you would manage and assist with the below, non-exclusive list. It will be necessary to maintain a work and schedule diary of the house’s upkeep. You will also be required to perform a range of duties and tasks specified by the employer and or manager, which may be varied from time to time. At all times you will be required to maintain the privacy of family and guests.
House Cleaning
General:
- Cleaning of all internal areas
- Dusting, Vacuum & Mopping
- Cleaning of balconies, sweeping/ mopping
- Making Beds
- Re-stock cleaning products & other household stock
In more detail:
- Regular vacuum and mopping of floors
- Cleaning of mirrors and glass – within reach & spot cleaning
- Cleaning of the inside of cupboards and robes
- Cleaning of toilets, basins, baths, showers, taps etc.
- Cleaning of stove and oven
- Vacuuming of upholstery
- Cleaning of ornaments
- Cleaning of walls, lights switches, doors etc.
- Wiping down of all appliances e.g. TV etc.
- Organising and keeping all areas of the property tidy at all times
- Communication with owner on all property related information
- Ensuring waste collection is actioned and bin area kept clean and tidy
Laundry
General:
- Washing
- Drying
- Ironing
- Folding
- Dry Cleaning
- Purchase cleaning products and household stock items
In more detail:
- Collect all household laundry from rooms
- Separate washing items: for soaking, spot cleaning, whites and colours, delicates,
household cloths, hand wash and dry clean
- Separate drying items: hanging, drying, rolling
- Identify any repairs for internal or external action
- Ironing and folding
- Labelling
- Re-stock all rooms
- Purchase cleaning products and house stock items as required
- Advise assistant of any re-stock requirement of personal products or items
Other duties
May include:
- Identifying repairs and maintenance of property

A lovely wholesome family of three are seeking an experienced Senior Housekeeper to help them with the daily management of their home. The family consist of a busy professional couple with an 8-year-old child. There is a nanny who looks after the child, the household provisioning and meal preparation.
Candidates must be comfortable with animals, as there are guinea pigs, mice and chickens. The household are very conscious of their environmental impact and like to use eco-friendly products and methods where possible.
Someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for smooth daily operations would be warmly welcomed into this role.
This is a dual role encompassing some household management duties, along with some general housekeeping duties. Ensuring all areas of the home are hygienic, clean, well-presented, and well maintained.
This is a private family and the successful candidate will have the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion.
HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT DUTIES
The ideal candidate will:
- Be the first point of contact for all domestic staff (gardener/housekeeper)
- Manage all Repairs and Maintenance to ensure the smooth running of the home (they have a team of external contractors already established)
- Inventory Management (Household Cleaning and Consumables/Wine Inventory/Festive Decorations)
- Assist in organisation of the residence, pantries, linen/storage cupboards, wardrobe, etc.
- Ad Hoc Tasks as required
- Some Event Management Skills are required
HOUSEKEEPING DUTIES
The home is a large property with a regular weekly cleaner in place, so your duties will revolve around:
- Opening the house daily (squaring away the kitchen/family room/common areas)
- Managing the bedding & towel changeover schedule (Making beds/Fresh Towels)
- Laundry Management (Washing/Ironing)
- Assisting with general housekeeping duties (Dusting/Vacuuming/Mopping/Sweeping/Tidying/Bathrooms/Rubbish removal)
- Assisting with Pet Care
CHILDCARE SUPPORT
Occasional support to the family in childcare responsibilities when either nanny is sick or parents have early meetings, such as taking to or picking up from school, preparing school lunch, providing some supervision if child is at home, etc.
WORKING HOURS
Working days would be 4 days a week, Tuesday through to Friday.
16-20 hours per week (4-5 hours per day)
Some additional hours may be required, or flexibility on working hours may be required, from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be an Australian resident, as they are seeking longevity for the years to come
- Hold a Police Check and Working with Children (or able to acquire)
- Driver’s License and Own Car (Willing and able to run errands as required)
- Be reliable, trustworthy and discreet
- Great communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail

- Previous housekeeping experience in private homes

REMUNERATION
The hourly rate is $40-$45 + Super, depending on experience and if the candidate would prefer to be employed Part Time or on a Casual basis.
START DATE
The family would like to ideally start someone in January to ensure a decent handover time with the current housekeeper that is currently in the role.

Position Summary- The Residence Support role ensures the maintenance, cleaning and presentation of the primary residence and other assets, that they always meet expectations. The role also supports food and beverage services, with a variety of additional tasks that may be completed at the request of the family.
Your Responsibilities
Work with the principle and wider family and respond to their requests, as and when they arise
- Communicate with residents and guests, always representing the family in a professional manner
- Provide personal support for occasional travel, both interstate and internationally as well as service support on family yachts
- Engage with a wider team and provide ad hoc administrative support
- Provide oversight and occasional support for some other family residents/assets
- Confidently carry out service for dinner parties, functions as well as daily meals
- Confidently provide drink service, including wine knowledge and cocktail making
- Assist in preparing basic meals and snacks
- Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, ironing, washing, dusting, and polishing
- Ensuring all areas are cared for and inspected with a high level of attention to detail
- Interact with multiple departments, primarily around property maintenance and service support
- Report damage or areas requiring special attention
- Have an awareness of correct use of cleaning products
- Adhere to commonly accepted health and safety practices, for a private residence
- Care for domestic animals

- Working as a steward/stewardess on yachts, jets or in private residences

The family travel often to other interstate residences and there will sometimes be weeks/months of non-occupancy.
The House Coordinator/Domestic Support will also work with a broader interstate team and will occasionally fly interstate for great collaboration.
Core days are Monday to Friday but will fluctuate when the family are in residence, assisting with occasional evening dinners or weekend events (days in lieu for weekend work) roughly 7.5 hours / day
