Position Summary- The Residence Support role ensures the maintenance, cleaning and presentation of the primary residence and other assets, that they always meet expectations. The role also supports food and beverage services, with a variety of additional tasks that may be completed at the request of the family.

Your Responsibilities

Work with the principle and wider family and respond to their requests, as and when they arise

Communicate with residents and guests, always representing the family in a professional manner
Provide personal support for occasional travel, both interstate and internationally as well as service support on family yachts
Engage with a wider team and provide ad hoc administrative support
Provide oversight and occasional support for some other family residents/assets
Confidently carry out service for dinner parties, functions as well as daily meals
Confidently provide drink service, including wine knowledge and cocktail making
Assist in preparing basic meals and snacks
Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, ironing, washing, dusting, and polishing
Ensuring all areas are cared for and inspected with a high level of attention to detail
Interact with multiple departments, primarily around property maintenance and service support
Report damage or areas requiring special attention
Have an awareness of correct use of cleaning products
Adhere to commonly accepted health and safety practices, for a private residence
Care for domestic animals
Provide discretion and a willingness to assist to complete additional tasks

Skills & Experience

Working as a steward/stewardess on yachts, jets or in private residences
Cleaning, housekeeping, and service duties
Be a self-starter, who is able to work autonomously and with a wider, remote team
Working with domestic animals
Food preparation / light cooking experience
A motivated individual with good initiative and a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve success

The family travel often to other interstate residences and there will sometimes be weeks/months of non-occupancy.

The House Coordinator/Domestic Support will also work with a broader interstate team and will occasionally fly interstate for great collaboration.

Core days are Monday to Friday but will fluctuate when the family are in residence, assisting with occasional evening dinners or weekend events (days in lieu for weekend work) roughly 7.5 hours / day

A busy professional family in Manly are looking for a long-term highly experienced Executive Residential House Manager who can organize, develop and implement good working systems and schedules to ensure the smooth, day to day functioning of the household.

We are looking for someone with the following:

Previous house management experience in private homes
A high degree of organisation to keep all cupboards, closets, pantry and other spaces in order
A high level of attention to detail – noticing and anticipating family needs
A high degree of common sense and ability to take ownership of the role and work without supervision
Knowledge of laundry, sorting, treating, washing and ironing
Able to run errands as required, flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing needs and priorities.
A high level of discretion and commitment

Duties will include:

General PA/ Errands as required:

Managing trades as required across both properties
Overseeing the family calendar and organising home requirements to suit family schedule
Additional help with family admin such as paying bills, arranging travel, planning events etc

Light housekeeping : All general housekeeping, laundry duties, change of linens, bathrooms, kitchen, dusting, vacuuming, generally ensuring the residence in maintained in a high state at all times.

We will consider additional cleaning support for vacuuming, mopping & bathrooms etc

for the right candidate

Laundry : must have experience with delicates/colours/ironing/folding and maintaining the wardrobe

Organising each family member’s closet
Drycleaning, Treating laundry appropriately for stains, mending, delicate care
Keeping tabs on children’s clothing sizes and rotating, hand downs, new requirements

Kitchen & Pantry : Food preparation and managing grocery stocks, household requirements and administration.

Organising fridge, pantry and shopping schedules for weekly grocery deliveries
Keeping the pantry stocked, organised and rotating items as necessary

Meals: Able to provide a range of healthy options for the family; extensive cooking experience is not mandatory, but an interest in food and a willingness to learn is a must

We do not require someone with professional cooking ability and are flexible with meal requirements depending on the candidate – however ability to prepare basic meals would be an advantage

Requirements:

5-6 years minimum housekeeping experience in private homes or stewardess experience on superyachts
Excellent references
A high level of detail and be able to work with limited supervision

Police Check or willing to get one prior to commencing
Drivers License / Nonsmoker
Long-term commitment

Hours:

5 days per week

Mon to Fri, normal hours of work 9.30am – 6.30pm

Remuneration

A salary between $100,000 – $120,000 per annum including all benefits and leave entitlements.

The role will likely be 3 days ongoing and would be flexible on days required (but ideally Monday/Wednesday/Friday)

The Personal Assistant role will focus on lifestyle aspects of the principal rather than business but there may be some crossover.

Working closely with house managers and other owner staff to execute an excellent level of support and attention to the family.

The position would suit candidates with experience working for high profile people, on superyachts or private residences but would also consider candidates from corporate or lifestyle orientated industries with experience as a personal assistant.

A high-profile, Perth based residence is on the search for an experienced stewardess (or hospitality professional) to join their growing residence team

The stewardess will work within a large interior department of 5 /6 reporting to the HOH & Concierge Manager.

The team largely hails from a superyacht stewardess background and the structure will be similar to that of a very large superyacht, bringing the same high/impeccable standard, but with the benefit of structured hours and no over nighters !

The focus of the role will be predominantly housekeeping but with weekly service shifts and assisting with occasional events and concierge.

Additional house coordinating responsibilities will also be allocated based on experience and background of the candidate

You are open minded to a change of process knowing it will accommodate the household’s need. You are comfortable with domestic animals and can work with a high level of integrity, discretion, and honesty.

The position could suit a former superyacht stewardess looking to go land based in Melbourne with a mostly Monday to Friday work week and no overnighters’

Duties will include:

All Housekeeping duties including; detailed cleaning, organisation, household stock management & laundry.
Laundry- must be confident in laundering a wide range of fabrics and types of garments; including following care instructions, stain treating, ironing, folding and wardrobe management.
Basic food preparation and hygienic practices in the kitchen; manage kitchen stocks, arrange groceries in appropriate storage areas.
Be happy to assist with dinner table setting and occasional beverage and meal service;
Assist the House Manager with any family related tasks or errands
