The vessel will depart Australia in October (under its own power) for Thailand , where it will undertake a series of private owners trips around Phuket & Ko Samui

The vessel will head back to Australia in March 2025 for some offshore game fishing trips around Cape York & Australia’s top end.

After which the vessel will be based out of the Whitsundays for charters

Run with 4 crew on charter trips , the deck/mate must be able to step up and relieve captain on occasion, if he is accompanying owner with day fishing trips

A well run 30m private/charter MY is on the search for a deckhand to join their team for the tail end of the Whitsundays season, before the vessel makes its way back down to Sydney.

The deckhand will need to hold a minimum of a coxswain to meet the minimum manning requirement.

The deckhand should also have an interest in water sports, as the vessel mans various toys including flight boards, SUP’s, diving and fishing equipment

The deckhand will work under the captain and be in charge of all deck operations, from detailing to anchoring, docking and lines

The deckhand should also be happy to learn to drive their small 5.5m jet tender.

The vessel is typically based in Sydney (Mosman / Spit marina)  8 months Sydney with winters away around the gold coast / Whitsundays region.

The yacht operates a diverse program spending time in Sydney and Pittwater roughly 9-10 months / year with 2 months around the Pacific Islands (Fiji, Tahiti, New Caledonia)  or Whitsunday area.

There is an extremely high standard aboard this yacht and the deckhand must be clean cut and presentable at all times.

MYS is on the search for a Dockmaster for a highly reputable marina & shipyard in Brisbane.

 

Catering mostly to superyachts the position could suit a former deckhand wanting to go shore based or a marine professional wanting to work closer with white boats.

 

The purpose of the position will be to provide exceptional customer service to all permanent & casual marina patrons.

 

Expectations will include:

 

➢ To be well presented and appropriately groomed at all times to reflect the Marina’s professional reputation.

 

➢ To carry out the daily Dockmaster duties, assisting with lines , ground ropes and docking procedures, Tender driving responsibilities

 

➢ To ensure that all marina arms and berths are kept clean and tidy at all times. This includes all service units, fendering, cleats, access ramps etc.

 

➢ To assist in implementing marketing and promotional activities.

 

➢ To provide a clean, friendly, and efficient fuel services to all customers

 

➢ To clean and tidy all walkways & common areas used by staff, contractors and Rivergate customers, including toilets, offices etc.

 

➢ Carry out routine maintenance to services and facilities as per

maintenance schedule or as directed by the General Manager.

 

➢ To understand and practice all workplace safety policies and procedures.

➢ To implement environmental management policies and procedures.

➢ To report any incidents and/or concerns directly and immediately to the General Manager.

➢ To handle and manage cash and credit card transactions. Including the daily balancing of sales.

➢ To assist in the day-to-day management of the marina, including berth rental invoices.

➢ Provide assistance to the Shipyard team when requested, this includes travel lift operations, cleaning the hardstand and yard equipment.

➢ Assist with providing the Shipyard team with a professional antifoul service.

A well run 34m private MY is on the search for a lead deckhand to join their team.

The yacht is used for private trips only , usually for small guests numbers, mostly odd weekend trips.

The vessel operates a 12m chase tender that the deckhand will be responsible for driving.

The deckhand must have good small vessel handling skills and be across deck maintenance products and vessel upkeep.

 

The vessel can accommodate male or female deckhand candidates and would also be open to an experienced deck/stew looking for more time on deck

 

Ability to undergo daywork as a trial before committing to fulltime / permanent.

 

Will also consider a fulltime seasonal contract , starting now and going through until March 2025 (if the deckhand is looking to head to Europe)
