The yacht is run with a fulltime crew of 5/6 and the chef will cater for both guests and crew.

 

The yacht has a terrific reputation , with both personable / friendly / accommodating owners and fun / adventurous / professional crew dynamic.

 

The owner fly’s in/out on various locations with good down time in-between for R & R and re-provisioning

The Chef 

“Male or female. Good chef experience is a must! happy team player, fresh Healthy food, fit fun candidate preferred, owner loves his seafood, one of his sons is Allergic to Sesame products as well as most nuts so they must be happy and able to run a galley without those ingredients while he is onboard.”

Must be well organised, can provision accurately for longer trips, must be able to maintain clean workstation and organised stores. Generally diverse culinary range , will have good influence over menu selection suiting owners tastes

120-140k pa + super DOE/Negotiable

A high profile 50m private MY is on the search for an experienced chief stewardess join their professional team.

The yacht is run with an interior team of 4 and is used strictly for private use around Sydney Harbour & Pittwater region.

The vessel is owned by a lovely / personable Australian family, who use the vessel for a mixture of family / friend’s style trips and occasional corporate entertaining.

The family rarely stay onboard overnight which therefore allows the crew the option to head home each night, or stay onboard if living on the vessel.

The yacht incorporates 5 day working weeks and maintains 2 days off / week, fitting around  guest activity.

The Chief Stewardess should have previous chief experience and can lead the interior team by example, offering training and leadership in both service and housekeeping

An excellent opportunity has become available on an immaculate 90’ New Build MY that will maintain a permanent berth in Sydney

The vessel will be used for mostly private trips with the occasional charter (charter will not be the focus)

The owner lives interstate and will occasionally fly up to use the vessel with his wife or guests (with notice)

Based in the City Centre (Sydney) the vessel may also travel down to Melbourne over summer and as far as the Whitsundays in the winter.

The Deck/Mate will work closely with the captain (who is happy to invest in training) and will maintain the vessel to its current immaculate condition.

Currently in QLD the vessel plans to head to Sydney for the summer charter season in accompaniment with some private trips with the owner.

 

 

After Sydney summer the vessel will head to the Gold Coast for a large refit then head north to FNQ for the heavy tackle/ game fishing season.

 

When north she is shadowed by the owners 58ft Game Fishing vessel that is currently also fully crewed.

 

The ideal scenario would be for a Captain & chief stew couple, however the owner will also consider solo captains with the right experience.

 

As the vessel is AMSA commercial the captain will need to hold a Master 35/45NC and strong engineering knowledge would also be a bonus.

 

The owners are one in a million and this would definitely be a long-term option for any captain or couple looking for that unique role with great management and owner.

 

The owner would also consider a seasonal option for the Australian summer before the refit commences closer to March/April

 

Start date approx end of September but flexible for the right candidates, live onboard position

After which the vessel will be based out of the Whitsundays for charters

Run with 4 crew on charter trips , the deck/mate must be able to step up and relieve captain on occasion, if he is accompanying owner with day fishing trips

Itinerary

Based in the heart of the city, the program will involve both short and extended trips around the Sydney Harbour and Pittwater regions. The yacht will occasionally travel further afield 1-2 times per year with the possibility of Whitsundays, Fiji/Tahiti or Pacific region.

Candidates should be ok with doing roughly 2-3 months away each year

The yacht will also consider applicants worldwide who are interested in relocating to Sydney

Salary: Excellent & Above industry standard, depending on experience and paid in Australian dollars + Superannuation (discussed on application)
