A well run private MY is on the search for a temp stew/cook to for a kimberley cruise with guests for a 4-5 week contract

The vessel will undertake 3 X 10-day trips with short turnaround times between with roughly 3-6 guests depending the trip and operating with 4 crew.

The family enjoy family style cooking, often just one course.

The stew/cook will be supported by the deck/stew who she will share a cabin with.

The owner enjoys fishing and exploring remote destinations, sometimes from Helicopter.

The stew/cook may also be required to prepare packed lunches and snacks.

Great active crew environment onboard where everyone pitches in to help each other out.

The captain has vast experience in the region and will also assist with food provisioning

The vessel is based in Sydney 9 months / year and typically spends winters away in either the Gold Coast (Yard), Whitsundays or South Pacific Islands.

Over winter the owner often spends time in Europe on his larger superyacht, often coinciding with the Australian vessels yard time on the Gold Coast.

The vessel is a low / moderate use program, averaging 2 trips / month

The chef will be charged with looking after both guests and crew and will occasionally cook for the owner at his residence.

The Crew dynamic and owner / chef relationship is excellent and the successful candidate will find themselves in a sought-after work environment, offering both lifestyle and progression.

The head chef will have a lot of influence over menus and a thorough handover will be given with the outgoing chef.

The yacht is used for private family use only but will undertake the occasional corporate cruise in Sydney harbour.

 

Trips will consist of short cruises around the Harbour and Pittwater regions (when in Sydney) and cruising around the Whitsundays in winter, typically catering for no more than 6-8 guests at a time.

 

During the corporate cruises (Mostly in December) the chef will be required to prepare finger food and canapés for larger guest numbers.

The yacht has moderate use, with good down time for the crew between trips.
