An amazing opportunity has become available for an experienced superyacht chief engineer to join a 60m expedition / scientific research vessel that is based within Australia between trips away.

Cruising Amazing destinations like Bali / Komodo , PNG region the vessel also spends time in the remote Kimberley.

The vessel is used for a mixture of private owner trips and scientific research.

Past science trips include: deep trench dives in the Indian Ocean & Ocean bed discovery missions in PNG.

Replacing the outgoing chief engineer of several years the chief engineers counterpart has been with the program for some time also , the vessel’s engineering is in excellent shape , operating 2 X rotation Chiefs, 2 X rotation 2nds and 3rd engineer on a 3:1

The vessel largely operates private when in Australia but also operates commercial when in international waters.

What you will do

  • Maintain and monitor IT systems at private residences, corporate offices, and personal devices.

Qualifications & Experience

About you

  • Certificate or Diploma in IT, Networking or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands-on IT support experience, ideally in executive or high-profile environments. (yachts, residences ect )
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of discretion and emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-pressure or sensitive situations with professionalism.
  • Proven expertise with:
    • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
    • Mobile device support, international roaming troubleshooting

A highly professional 38m Private / Charter MY is on the search for a deckhand to join their friendly team.

The vessel is currently cruising the Whitsundays with plans to head to Port Douglas for a series of trips involving relaxed cruises / dinners, guest functions and day excursions for fishing / spearing and diving.

The deckhand will work under the guidance of an experienced lead deckhand and captain and will be involved throughout all deck operations, including bridge, docking, watersports, tender driving and maintenance

 

The vessel operates a 15m chase tender, that is in survey and a terrific way for the Deckhand to gain experience, get trained up and build commercial drive time for larger tickets.

 

The owner is a keen fisherman and spearo with opportunity for a Deckhand to accompany and buddy up if possessing the necessary experience.

 

The vessel can take either male or female candidates for cabins and can start the deckhand with some daywork to ensure a fit for both parties
