Position Snapshot

• Salary: $110,000 AUD + Super DOE
• Watersports & Sailing focus

A well established 40m Private SY is on the search for a 1^st mate to join their professional team.

The yacht operates with 7 crew when cruising offshore with an extensive Pacific cruising schedule planned for 2025 including Australia, NZ,  Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu & Solomon Islands.

The vessel also operates an interesting watersports program and any experience in diving, spearfishing, fishing or wing boarding would be well received.

The 1^st mate should have a strong sailing background and can also assist with basic engineering / maintenance, supporting the chief engineer on occasion

Step-up candidates also welcome to apply as training will be provided by longstanding captain being mentored into 2^nd in command position

The Ideal Candidate

• Yachtmaster or Equivalent
• STCW
• Strong sailing background
• Experience/interest in watersports
• Enjoys an active crew environment
• Keen for a cruising / travelling program
• Live onboard
• Can support the captain and act as backup
• Confident watchkeeper
• Work rights in Australia/NZ
