A high profile 47m private MY is currently looking for a fulltime 1st Mate to join their yacht in Indonesia
The yacht is run with an experienced crew of 9 and maintains a permanent base on a remote island off Jakarta
The yacht will often have guests on board for one or two days on the weekend, occasionally do longer trips to Lombok and Komodo.
Yard times either in Singapore or Langkawi , Malaysia
the 1st Mate should be fine with remote island living and a relatively low use program
The crew will have use of facilities on the island and large swimming pool, as well as the local islands to explore when no guests are onboard, lots of BBQ & volley ball games
Terrific opportunity for a 1st mate wanting more of an island lifestyle role
Prefer candidates currently within region, Australia/ NZ / Asia/ South Africa regions but will consider worldwide (Europe & US) for right experience.
Low use program, the crew receive 2 days off / week and can go explore Jakarta or neighbouring areas

Position Snapshot
A well established 40m Private SY is on the search for a 1st mate to join their professional team.
The yacht operates with 7 crew when cruising offshore with an extensive Pacific cruising schedule planned for 2025 including Australia, NZ, Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu & Solomon Islands.
The vessel also operates an interesting watersports program and any experience in diving, spearfishing, fishing or wing boarding would be well received.
The 1st mate should have a strong sailing background and can also assist with basic engineering / maintenance, supporting the chief engineer on occasion
Step-up candidates also welcome to apply as training will be provided by longstanding captain being mentored into 2nd in command position
