MYS Superyacht Crew are on the search for a stewardess for a high calibre 45m private MY and its crew of 10.

The yacht operates with a full-time interior of 3 + casuals for larger events, with duties shared across both service and housekeeping.

There is a fun and professional crew dynamic on-board this yacht and the successful candidate must be active, energetic and serious about developing their service skills in the interior

Someone who enjoys a good team environment is paramount & possessing an excellent fun attitude!

The yacht is open to expressions of interest from the enthusiastic mid-level stewardess to the experienced 2nd / chief who has come off larger yachts overseas, looking for more land base living

Salary will be matched accordingly to the candidate’s level of experience.

Being based in Sydney for most of the year , the vessel offers a terrific work life balance, operating at core 5 day working weeks and causals to cover busy periods in Summer.

 

Itinerary

Based in the heart of the city, the program will involve both short and extended trips around the Sydney Harbour and Pittwater regions. The yacht will occasionally travel further afield 1-2 times per year with the possibility of Whitsundays, Fiji/Tahiti or Pacific region.

Candidates should be ok with doing roughly 2-3 months away each year

The yacht will also consider applicants worldwide who are interested in relocating to Sydney

MYS is on the search for a Dockmaster for a highly reputable marina & shipyard in Brisbane.

 

Catering mostly to superyachts the position could suit a former deckhand wanting to go shore based or a marine professional wanting to work closer with white boats.

 

The purpose of the position will be to provide exceptional customer service to all permanent & casual marina patrons.

 

Expectations will include:

 

➢ To be well presented and appropriately groomed at all times to reflect the Marina’s professional reputation.

 

➢ To carry out the daily Dockmaster duties, assisting with lines , ground ropes and docking procedures, Tender driving responsibilities

 

➢ To ensure that all marina arms and berths are kept clean and tidy at all times. This includes all service units, fendering, cleats, access ramps etc.

 

➢ To assist in implementing marketing and promotional activities.

 

➢ To provide a clean, friendly, and efficient fuel services to all customers

 

➢ To clean and tidy all walkways & common areas used by staff, contractors and Rivergate customers, including toilets, offices etc.

 

➢ Carry out routine maintenance to services and facilities as per

maintenance schedule or as directed by the General Manager.

 

➢ To understand and practice all workplace safety policies and procedures.

➢ To implement environmental management policies and procedures.

➢ To report any incidents and/or concerns directly and immediately to the General Manager.

➢ To handle and manage cash and credit card transactions. Including the daily balancing of sales.

➢ To assist in the day-to-day management of the marina, including berth rental invoices.

➢ Provide assistance to the Shipyard team when requested, this includes travel lift operations, cleaning the hardstand and yard equipment.

➢ Assist with providing the Shipyard team with a professional antifoul service.

Are you a superyacht or private residence stewardess interested in going land based on the Gold Coast?

The Estate owners are seeking a full-time house manager to work in their prestigious

homestead and guest house, at their luxury rural estate nestled in the Gold Coast

hinterland.

Reporting to the Site manager, your main responsibility would be providing a professional, exceptional service catering to the needs of the owners and/or guests staying at the Estate.

Whilst cleaning and maintaining the interior and exterior (excluding grounds) of the luxury

homestead, ensuring it is always spotless.

The role is mostly Monday to Friday, 8 hours, 5 days a week when there are no guests staying at the homestead.

There is a requirement for some weekend work during guest stays.

On these occasions you will be compensated with time off in lieu or bonusses or a

combination of the two depending on the circumstances.

The duties of the position include the following:

 Greet and be the prime contact for our guests while they are using the Estate.

 Provide high level turndown service before, during and after guest stays.

 Ensuring that on the day logistics are running smoothly, when there is either

a guest stay or event at the Estate. This includes catering, event stylists etc

 You will be placed on the spot at times and be required to step up to

resolve any problems that might occur.

 Supervising contractors including cleaners, gardeners, pool cleaners &

trades as required.

 Book last minute experiences for the guests as required

 Running occasional errands and assisting with grocery shopping for guests

as directed.

 Monitor and purchase inventory for the homestead and guesthouse

including but not limited to keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens,

toiletries, and other supplies.

 Spring cleaning and managing cupboards, pantry etc on a regular basis.

 Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste and recycling.

 Any other tasks required for the day-to-day running of the household as

required.

 Identifying any maintenance issues and reporting back to On-Site Manager.

 All functions required to keep the house clean and in an immaculate

condition. This includes but is not limited to:

-Laundering of linen, towels etc owned by the Estate.

-Vacuum and mop entire interior of homestead and guesthouse on a

regular basis.

-Clean and sanitize toilets, showers/bathtubs, counter-tops, sinks.

-Maintain a clean, tidy and sanitary kitchen area always.

-Dust mirrors and other glass surfaces as well as interior décor, shutters,

fans, artwork, air conditioners, fireplace, etc

-Deep cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen, laundry and garages (including

cleaning appliances such as oven and fridge) as well as all other rooms

as and when required.

Qualifications:

 First aid certificate (desirable)

Experience:

 Minimum 2 years’ experience in a luxury housekeeping role (superyacht or residence) and knowledge of housekeeping and laundry protocols.

 Possess a QLD Driver’s licence

A well run 34m private MY is on the search for a lead deckhand to join their team.

The yacht is used for private trips only , usually for small guests numbers, mostly odd weekend trips.

The vessel operates a 12m chase tender that the deckhand will be responsible for driving.

The deckhand must have good small vessel handling skills and be across deck maintenance products and vessel upkeep.

 

The vessel can accommodate male or female deckhand candidates and would also be open to an experienced deck/stew looking for more time on deck

 

Ability to undergo daywork as a trial before committing to fulltime / permanent.

 

Will also consider a fulltime seasonal contract , starting now and going through until March 2025 (if the deckhand is looking to head to Europe)

The yacht is run with a fulltime crew of 5/6 and the chef will cater for both guests and crew.

The owner fly’s in/out on various locations with good down time in-between for R & R and re-provisioning

Joining in FNQ, with some local trips around the reef, Carins, East Coast, Whitsundays, then coming down East Coast for summer to Melbourne (possibly Tasmania) onto New Zealand for tail end of summer and then will travel to the remote Kimberely for 2025

An amazing opportunity has become available for a stewardess looking for a role that offers both lifestyle and exciting adventure.

The yacht does a yearly diving focused trip in very remote Indonesia.

Lots of off the beaten tracks reef locations and possibly venturing to West Papua

When the yacht is in Sydney it is rarely used and therefore the stewardess will be trained up in both deck duties and diving qualifications, with the captains intention to bring all crew up to Divemaster level.

The stewardess will also have the option to act as the private jet stewardess on the owners private plane (optional)

The stewardess should be a talented allrounder with a great pitch in and help attitude and can work well with a small core fulltime crew.

Sydney months are working mostly Monday to Friday and would suit a stewardess wanting to get her weekends back

Position Snapshot

A unique opportunity has become available for a foreign chief stewardess (or Australian/ NZ passport holder) to join a 50m private MY in Australia.

The yacht is owned by an exceptional superyacht owner (multiple vessels) and is used strictly for private use only.

The vessel is largely based in Sydney (9 months) and would suit a chief stewardess wanting to experience life in this beautiful city.

The yacht will undergo its yard time in the Gold Coast and may cruise the Whitsundays for a short guest trip.

There is also the possibility for an annual Pacific Island trip to New Caledonia

The vessel preference would be for the chief stewardess to live onboard , however would also be open to live ashore in Sydney , permitting watches are covered.

The chief stewardess will manage / lead an experienced 2nd stewardess (fulltime), and 3rd stewardess (casually) for busier guest trips.

Working rights for Australia is required however the vessel is open to sponsoring (long term) a foreign chief stewardess wanting to live out in Australia.(unique opportunity)
