A well established 40m Private SY is on the search for a 1st mate to join their professional team.
The yacht operates with 7 crew when cruising offshore with an extensive Pacific cruising schedule planned for 2025 including Australia, NZ, Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu & Solomon Islands.
The vessel also operates an interesting watersports program and any experience in diving, spearfishing, fishing or wing boarding would be well received.
The 1st mate should have a strong sailing background and can also assist with basic engineering / maintenance, supporting the chief engineer on occasion

A very unique opportunity has become available for a deckhand and stewardess to be based out of Japan, operating a private fleet of local yachts.
The crew will be based out of Yokohama bayside marina. Kanagawa, Japan and will be given shared crew use of an apartment ashore (only live onboard when cruising)
The deckhand & stewardess will work with the captain & engineer in the operation of a private fleet, that is mostly used for short excursions only around Japanese waters
The fleet is growing and will include a Riva 100, Riva 76 and a Pershing yacht among others.
Bigger yachts and projects in the pipeline and certainly room for role growth.
As the vessels are based in Japan the crew will be paid industry rates (Euro/US equivalent) but in Japanese Yen , with 20% taken out for local tax
There is also the opportunity to be put through some local Japanese seafarer courses (in English) to meet manning requirements
Guests are both Japanese and English speaking and all English-speaking crew.
The position offers a unique opportunity to undertake a yachting cultural adventure.

Position Summary- The Residence Support role ensures the maintenance, cleaning and presentation of the primary residence and other assets, that they always meet expectations. The role also supports food and beverage services, with a variety of additional tasks that may be completed at the request of the family.
Your Responsibilities
Work with the principle and wider family and respond to their requests, as and when they arise
Skills & Experience
The family travel often to other interstate residences and there will sometimes be weeks/months of non-occupancy.
The House Coordinator/Domestic Support will also work with a broader interstate team and will occasionally fly interstate for great collaboration.
Core days are Monday to Friday but will fluctuate when the family are in residence, assisting with occasional evening dinners or weekend events (days in lieu for weekend work) roughly 7.5 hours / day

The vessel will travel Australia for summer, following a 7 month yard time in NZ (May – November)

The vessel is based in Sydney 9 months / year and typically spends winters away in either the Gold Coast (Yard), Whitsundays or South Pacific Islands.
Over winter the owner often spends time in Europe on his larger superyacht, often coinciding with the Australian vessels yard time on the Gold Coast.
The vessel is a low / moderate use program , averaging 2 trips / month
The chef will be charged to look after both guests and crew and will occasionally cook for the owner at his residence.
The Crew dynamic and owner / chef relationship is excellent and the successful candidate will find themselves in a sought after work environment, offering both lifestyle and progression.
The head chef will have allot of influence over menus and a thorough handover will be given with the outgoing chef.
